Abstract

Cloud technologies have developed intensively over the past years, as there are currently many companies in the world that develop and provide cloud-based accounting applications. Cloud accounting is one of the most important factors that help economic units keep pace with scientific and technological development, and it has been exploited in organizing Internet-based accounting work on the basis of systems designed to implement all accounting procedures for the economic unit.

This research aims to present an empirical study through which it is possible to judge the extent of benefiting from the cloud computing system as a network system in supporting accounting programs in travel and tourism companies in Egypt. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between following the cloud computing system and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting system in its different stages (whether the system input stage, operating stage, or system output).
